Many creators know they need support but not how much. This guide compares the common support models: full management, backend service, chat management and marketing support. You get a decision table, four typical situations and a list of contract points to check for every model. The article is written for adult creators (18+). Which providers are worth it if you are torn between full management and pure chat management?

That depends less on the provider than on your situation. Ask yourself three questions.

• Do you already have enough reach? If yes and what you mainly lack is time in chat, a leaner model such as chat management or a backend service is often enough. If not, better chatting alone will not help much because too few new fans come in. Then a provider with full management and its own social media team is the obvious choice.
• Do you want to keep your social media channels? Then choose a model that takes over your OnlyFans account but leaves Instagram, TikTok and the like with you.
• How much commission can your revenue carry? Full management costs more because it includes more. It only pays off if your net revenue grows by more than the commission takes.

I produce my own content and only want to hand over planning and analytics. Which model fits?

In most cases the backend service. Full management

With full management you hand over almost everything except producing content: OnlyFans account management, chatting, social media strategy, audience growth and analytics. At FEM Management this also includes an individual social media plan, a personal social media success manager, a weekly check-in call, a videographer for social media, additional platforms such as Twitter, Reddit and YouTube, conversion optimisation, social media analytics, help with blocked social media accounts, leak protection with monitoring and takedowns, and coverage of content production costs. The commission is 50 to 60 % of net revenue. You produce and provide the content and post your TikToks yourself. Creators working with us plan for about 2 to 3 hours per day, more at the start.

Backend service

The backend service is designed for creators who run their own social media channels. It covers OnlyFans account management and chatting, meaning everything that happens on OnlyFans itself: planning posts and mass messages, stories, content lists, chatting scripts and analysing your OnlyFans statistics. At FEM Management, social media, leak protection and content production are not included in this model. The commission is 20 to 50 % of net revenue.

Chat management

With chat management a provider only handles the messages with your fans. Account upkeep, planning, social media and strategy stay with you. Publicly stated commissions on the market are around 20 to 30 %. Check which revenue counts: only chat sales or everything on your account. Marketing support

Some providers focus on reach: social media strategy, short videos, traffic from other platforms or advertising. Chatting and the account then stay with you. Common on the market are a commission or a fixed fee. With this model, clarify above all whether an advertising budget is added and who pays for it. Software instead of a service provider

Four typical situations

You produce your own content and have your own social media channels

You know how to reach fans on Instagram or TikTok, but chatting, posting and analysing take too much of your time. The backend service usually fits here. You keep control of your content and channels while the team takes care of everything on OnlyFans. If you only need help in chat, chat management is the leaner alternative on the market.

You are starting a new account

Without fans, even the best chatting helps little. At the start you mainly need positioning, a profile and reach, which full management covers. If enough fans come in but buy little, the lever is chatting, mass messages and pricing, and a backend service may be enough. Either way, ask which numbers the team analyses and how you will recognise progress.

You are switching from another agency

Before switching, check your old contract: notice period, commission after the contract ends and return of all access. At FEM Management we take over your existing account and handle the handover. What a single manager does differently from an agency

Besides agencies, individual people also offer OnlyFans management. Both can work; the differences are mainly organisational.

• Team: A single manager covers several tasks personally. An agency splits chatting, account management, social media and video editing across specialised roles.
• Availability: Fans write at any time of day. Chatting around the clock needs shifts that one person can hardly cover alone.
• Cover: If a single manager is on holiday or ill, your account often stands still. In a team, someone else takes over.
• Closeness: A single manager is often very personally available. An agency should therefore give you a fixed contact person.

What to check in the contract for every model

Whichever model you choose, these points belong in the written contract.

• Net or gross: Is the commission calculated before or after the 20 % OnlyFans fee? 50 % of gross revenue equals 62.5 % of net revenue. At FEM Management we calculate our commission on net revenue.
• Login stays with the creator: The account is in your name. Email address, password and two-factor authentication should stay with you. At FEM Management the login stays with you.
• Payouts directly to you: Payouts should go to your own account, not through an agency account. With us they go directly to you.
• Content rights: The rights to your photos and videos should stay with you. At FEM Management they do.
• Commission after the contract ends: Check whether commission is still due on ongoing revenue after the end. With us, no commission is due after the contract ends.
• Upfront and extra costs: Setup fees, flat fees or ad budgets should be fixed in advance. FEM Management charges no upfront costs.
• Term and termination: Ask about the minimum term, notice period and form of termination, and get both in writing.
